I spent the early summer working on some watercolors in preparation for a faculty exhibition this fall at Truman. Mostly subject matter of locations I have visited recently. Now back to working on digital skills.
I found this great photo in my grandmother’s collection of old family photographs. It was an image of a traveling black baseball team that was in Simpson, Kansas playing the local team. The Delphi Chronicles is a faux pulp fiction cover based on an actual close encounter incident that took place in Delphos, Kansas in the early 1970’s. This was prior to the Spielberg movie being released. Good story, Google it. I even saw it featured once on a History channel show about UFO encounters. There is a rock formation about five miles south of Delphos, Kansas that has been a local feature and tourist destination since the settlers arrived in the 1870’s.
